Daddy's Little Helper

Tonight we were putting up our Christmas lights around the outside of our house. We couldn't help but notice what a great helper our little Luke was. He was more than willing to pull the lights out, climb up the ladder to help his daddy, or carry lights around the yard. He was just a great help in keeping the mood fun and besides, who could resist this cute of a helper!

The Wedding Dress

Today Kiersten, Luke, and mommy went to the DI, looking for some Christmas decorations for outside, and what should we find, but Kiersten's dream wedding dress! It is a real wedding dress that drowns her, but she loves it! As we walked around the DI, she told everyone that today was her wedding day, and that she was going to marry her daddy. She even talked me into buying her a pair of white shoes, with fake diamonds on the straps, so that it would match her gown. Silly girl.
Her dream dress is really fluffy and full. It even has small bows all over the bottom half of the gown. She is so in love with this dress, she has worn it almost all day!

The dress was so long that she had to pick it up and carry it, just like the princesses in the movies, which made the dress even more perfect.

Kiersten could hardly wait for her daddy to get home, so she could marry her handsome prince. Daddy didn't mind because he got all his little girl's attention, and lots of extra kisses.

So in her pretend wedding, she finally got her diamond ring! Funny enough, it looks a lot like her mom's ring!

Better Dead than Red

As the Apache helicopters flew over the stadium, we couldn't help but notice...you were either wearing BLUE or you were wearing RED. That was the only two options at this game. And as Lance constantly reminds us all "Better Dead than RED!"
We loved where our seats were, but there was just something wrong about our view. (The guys dressed in RED!)

We were excited to have Dan come to the game with us. He even came the night before to beat the horrible traffic from the north, and got to come to our "tailgate" breakfast where I made pancakes with a blue "Y" on them. We considered dying everything blue, but everyone already knows that Lance bleeds BLUE!

Even though we thought we were going to freeze to death before the game was over, it was nice to see a great game together!

And Unga for the WIN!!!

Now that is how you get two HAPPY guys!

What a GREAT game!

Naughty Girl

Last night her daddy walked into the bathroom to find Kiersten sitting in the sink with a pair of scissors in her hands, and long lengths of hair all over the floor. She was in BIG trouble. Kiersten has wanted to grow her hair like Rapunzel. Good luck. Maybe a mullet will look better than we think? Hopefully Sophie will be able to help!

After trying patiently to blend the variety of cuts Kiersten had made, Sophie had to just cut the length off. "Rapunzel" will just have to wait.

Maybe a bow will help?

Don't worry- she'll get use to the new do!

Our Trip to Hogle Zoo

This past Christmas, we recieved passes to the Hogle Zoo by Brian and Katie's family. We have wanted to go all year, but finally made it on the most beautiful Saturday of November. This ended up being on of the funnest (and most memorable) Christmas presents ever!

The kids loved all the cool statues around the zoo.

One of our favorite Warning signs ever!

Some day Luke. Just not today.

She may not "measure up" with stature, but in attitude she exceeds!

Mikey is the closest to "measuring up" to the gorillas.

Lance is showing Luke the elephants! Luke can hardly believe what he is seeing.

After watching the bears, Rachel needed her own "bear hugs"!

The kids were mezmorized by all the different animals.

Luke wasn't quite sure why the catapillar wasn't going anywhere.

Mikey loved going down the snake slide.

"Hey Mom, I'm a baby turtle"

Krispy Kreme

Kiersten, Luke, and Mikey LOVE trips to Krispy Kreme. Mikey and Luke love the doughnuts, and Kiersten loves the hats!

Luke is impatiently waiting for the doughnuts to cook.

Say "doughnuts"

Luke says enough with the silly hats. Kiersten could care less about anything but her doughnut and Mikey- he is just wishing Luke wouldn't wiggle so much.

The kids think this is the greatest place ever!

A good laugh

Grandma Hansen with the kids in their costumes

A very scary Captain Lance Hook

Kiersten is not afraid of this Captain Hook! (sorry- I didn't flip this one right)

Rachel in her favorite costume ever! Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty!

This one is "for the birds"

Our Fall Walks

This is the most beautiful trail we have ever walked on. The best part, is it is just minutes from our house. The leaves covered the walkway and made this walk so fun!

Kiersten, Mikey, and Luke posing for yet another of mom's pictures.

Mikey and Kiersten thought this new spot was the best! Kiersten loves the swing and Mikey loves to climb the tree.

Luke was quite excited to get out of the house!
