Fishing Fun

Yesterday Lance was wanting to do something as a family, where the kids & I had been gone for three days, so we decided to go fishing at the Spanish Fork reservoir. So as you begin looking at the pictures, you will see Lance did get a chance to catch some fish. He may have felt like all he did was bait hooks, but I have proof that he did have some fun as well. Lance with one of his many catches of the day.
If you look closely, there are 20+ fish swimming right next to the waters we were fishing. (Some of them were albino trout, so they are easy to see.)

Kiersten got a new fishing pole for her birthday. She picked it out a few weeks ago and she was suppose to wait for her birthday, but managed to sweet talk her daddy into letting her use it early! So here she while her daddy is getting it ready for her.

Luke even took his turn with Kiersten's pole. He sure had fun practicing- we just won't tell him that it only has a plastic crown at the end instead of a hook, so no matter how long he sat there, nothing would ever come!

Here is Mikey with one of his five catches of the day! He was so proud of how many he caught. At one point, he even offered me lessons, because all I caught was a sunburn!

I can tell, this is one picture that will happen over and over again! I will definitely look forward to more of these days.

Fun with Grandma Hansen

While we were still up North, on Friday morning we got to go and see Grandma Hansen on her day off. The kids were so excited to see her because we had went to see her at work while we were in Logan, but had missed her-so the anticipation made the trip more fun! We got there a few minutes before she got back. So the kids helped her replant her flowers, wasn't that so nice?!!??
Mikey was so excited to give her big hugs!

Kiersten had so much to show and to tell her. Grandma nearly got her ears chatted off.

Luckily, there was a chance to spend a few precious moments for Luke & Grandma to bond.
We even got a chance to take Grandma to lunch, and take a treat to Uncle Travis. But just as the rest as the trip, time flew by too fast, and it was time to go home.

Even Mikey was so worn out from the past three days, that they fell asleep within the first 10 minutes of the trek back home! What a fun trip!

Fun with Grandma & Papa Fuhriman

This past Wednesday and Thursday we were lucky enough to go up and see Grandma & Grandpa Fuhriman. The kids all loved playing with them and especially getting spoiled rotten. We had so much fun playing, going on drives, and we loved running with Grandma over to Logan to get cheese and ice cream! We weren't even gone 10 minutes before they were asking when we were going to do this again! Here Grandma is playing with Luke & Cougar the cat. He sure thought he was wonderful. He loved to chase him up the ramp and feed him anything he could find on the floor or even out of the cupboards!
Mikey loves his time playing "go fish" with Papa. I have to admit, he is getting pretty darn good at that game- but he HATES to lose! Luckily Papa doesn't mind losing, so he usually has something has something to do with his winning streak.

Kiersten loved playing with everyone, and loved catching up on all the hugs & kisses from her aunts and uncles! I don't think Aunt Angela minded a few extra hugs.

Nor did Uncle Dan mind sharing a few of his kisses with her.
Over all it was a fun few days and we will have to plan our next trip soon!

Bellas

This past week for FHE we went to one of our kids FAVORITE places- Cabellas, aka Bellas. We always go around 6:00 at night because that is when they feed the fish. That night they were feeding the trout tanks. It is so cool, for those who have not seen it, they feed them small pellets and then all of a sudden you see this white PVC tube come down and about 20-30 goldfish come out! The fish go nuts chasing the goldfish, until there is not a single goldfish in sight. Every now & again, there will be one that will find a hiding spot, but they always get found.Yes, I know this is a crappy picture, but it is cool because you can see how big the fish are compared to our little kids. There was one honestly the same length of Kiersten! The kids loved the fish and were just in awe over the size and all that was going on. I loved seeing their reactions to all that was there.
After the fish feedings we went around the store to see some more of the animals. None of them seemed to bother Kiersten, until the Polar bear. She could not get over the size and was sure that he was going to eat her. When we told her that they were dead, she just laughed, she thought it was great that they had dead bears. Silly girl. Mikey had fun feeding the fish in the pond in the ground. He loved seeing them jump. He should be a lot more fun to take fishing this year! His dad is so exited (as you can imagine)!

Play Day

Today we had a fun "play day" with Kiersten's good friend Lindsey. Yes, this is the Lindsey that Kiersten is always talking about. In case you are wondering why I let my child out in public in her dress up clothes, is because we had borrowed Lindsey's Cinderella dress last time we played at their house, and we were giving it back. Well, the girls decided that they needed to wear them everywhere, so they could be princesses. Besides, they looked so cute, I couldn't turn them down! Here Princess Kiersten is eating her royal dinner.

Luke loved the play place. He loved climbing all over and made sure that I was always watching his adventures.

Funny

Subject: UCLA Study

A study conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle.

For example: If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features. However, if she is menstruating, or menopausal, she tends to be more attracted to a man with duct tape over his mouth and a spear lodged in his chest while he is on fire. No further studies are expected.

Lance's birthday party

For Lance's birthday- we did just what he loves to do. He had a BIG steak dinner, played Wii with his buddy Brad (Brad's wife really did have fun, it just doesn't look like it in the picture). He was quite proud that on his 20 something birthday, he was still getting video games for his birthday!
Kiersten and Mikey pepped him up to try and blow out all the candles. (It was only one box worth, even though he needed more, he wouldn't let me put any more than that on.)

It took quite a deep inhalation to get all those candles out on the first breath, so hopefully he will get his wish!

So overall, he gave his big day...you got it...a BIG thumb's up.

Happy Birthday Lance!

Happy Birthday Daddy!
A few of our favorite memories of Lance- so many to choose from...Our trip to Moab (May 2005) when daddy tried to convince us to trek up to the delicate arch. This was as far as we made it.
We love how he will dress up for us- just to make us giggle.

The Bronco loving fan on his trip to Denver.

He was there on all three of our kids important birthdays.
We sure love you!!!!
