Mikey's first loose tooth!

So Monday night we were brushing Michael's teeth when I noticed that a tooth was growing in behind one of his bottom teeth. Anyone who has looked closely at my smile, may notice that I have a tooth that is behind all the others- so I know where he gets that from. Anyway, we knew that the tooth must come out. At first it was solid as a rock, but with two days worth of Daddy wiggling that poor tooth, it was loose enough to try and pull out.

So last night we knew that this poor tooth HAD to come out, so Lance wiggled and wiggled, and then he got the pliers and yanked it out! Mikey was so brave and afterwards SO proud of that cute little baby tooth.

See the bottom row, in the middle, the small hole, and the tooth already to come take its place.

Mikey's reward for getting it pulled- just what he wanted- a vanilla frosty from Wendy's!

Daddy & his buddy- even after all that!

Draper Temple Open House

Last night was so fun!  We got to go to the Draper Temple Open house.  The kids have always wanted to go into a temple and this was the perfect opportunity!  Kiersten and I have been counting days until we could go and last night was the night!  It was especially fun because without planning, my parents and brother & sister and us got tickets for the same night!
We didn't end up finding each other until the stake center that is attached to the temple, but when we did, it was a great reunion.
The gym they had set up that told all about the temples and was a great teaching opportunity.  They had a pin that marked every temple on this map, and my kids wanted to show where each of them want to go on their mission...(we will see how close they are in about 10+ years!)
Michael is absolutely certain he is going to China (at least for today!)

We loved being able to socialize and enjoy the yummy cookies and water that were waiting for us in the gym.
Michael and Kiersten really had a lot of fun and were both excited to see the rooms of the temple.  Kiersten excited to see the "married" room, which got Michael excited to see the rooms as well.  He even said that was his favorite room.

The bus ride to and from the temple was adventurous as well.  The kids had so much fun, and I hope that it helps them to keep a goal of going to the temple again someday.
